Elizabeth Quay construction as at 29 April 2015

Dear Quay Fans

Today we have been bestowed a great gift. Whilst on an important business trip, far down the other end of the Terrace, I was led by the very obliging Kate Markin to what must be some of the most outstanding views of Elizabeth Quay in the whole of Perth.

The excitement I felt on seeing the panoramic view, and knowing that I would soon be able to share it with you all, was tremendous, as was the countervailing need for restraint whilst on a client’s premises.

Let it be known that my professionalism is intact, but had there been a couch on which to jump…

Thank you Kate, we are all very appreciative.

Development on the Western and Northern Promenades at Elizabeth Quay on 22 April 2015

Good morning Quay fans!

The photo below is from the Venetia Stewart who has a sweet view of the development happening on the Western Promenade, including the BHP Billiton Water Park and the adjacent kiosk (which looks to be of a decent size) that will house a V Burger Bar.

In the photo below, the Water Park is just out of frame (being a little further to the right), but the kiosk is clearly visible at the bottom right.

We can also see the temporary pool (top left, where the inlet will be), and what is definitely the result of some executive decisions being made by the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (and probably Colin as well), without consulting Scaffidi and the rest of the Perth City Council — a rocket ship launch pad! (top middle). Not really though. It’s actually the ferry terminal that will sit on the bank of the Western Promenade.

Good morning fellow Quay fans! Here’s another treat from Amber Johnston Billings who made it a priority on her return from London last week to keep us updated on the progress being made down at the Quay.

This pic was snapped late on Friday afternoon last week.
